Abam" means "together" in the Fang language, spoken in parts of Central Africa, including Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and southern Cameroon. It embodies the spirit of unity, collaboration, and community. Abam Africa brings this idea to life, creating a platform that connects not only African businesses and entrepreneurs but also people, communities, and cultures, starting in Malmö, Sweden.
Abam Africa begins as an online hub dedicated to gathering and sharing valuable information, tips, and resources for both African businesses and individuals. It will serve as a directory where businesses can find each other, form partnerships, and access new opportunities, while also enabling people to connect, network, and share experiences. As the platform grows, Abam Africa aims to evolve into a marketplace where African businesses can sell their products directly to a global audience and where people can find community support, mentorship, and collaboration.

Behind AbamAfrica is me, José Carlos. Originally from Equatorial Guinea, I left my country due to the oppressive totalitarian government and the dangers I faced as a human rights advocate.
Sweden, with its values of democracy, social justice, and human rights, became my refuge. Now, as a political refugee with a deep passion for community building, I am dedicated to creating a space where African businesses and communities can thrive together, starting here in Sweden. I believe in the power of connection and the strength of unity, and I am committed to making Abam Africa a beacon of opportunity and growth for all.
